A UK study indicated that children today tend to be "weak" and the difficulty performing physical tasks are actually easier for them the previous generation.Research experts at Essex University shows that children aged 10 years in the era now have weaker muscles than children who were born a decade earlier.Researchers estimate, it is most likely due to changes in lifestyle, in which the children of today would rather move indoors, such as playing computer or games. While children in the past more playing in open space with a variety of physical activities, like climbing trees, climbing stairs, or hang from iron rods in the park.As reported in the journal Acta Paediatrica, children now tend to have trouble doing movements such as hanging on the staircase wall or sit-ups in a matter that much. In addition to decline in terms of strength, the children are now too difficult to grip things properly.Research was initiated by Dr Gavin Sandercock, child fitness experts from Essex University, was conducted by comparing the results of tests the ability of two groups of children in different eras. The first group is those aged 10 years in 2008 and the second group is the 10 year olds in 1998.Research shows, children's ability to do sit-ups as much as 27.1 percent decline. Hand muscle strength also decreased 26 percent and the traction of children to decline 7 percent. Moreover, if in 1998 one in 20 children are not able to hold his weight when hanging from the staircase wall, lapse a decade later recorded one of 10 children unable to do so."This may be due to changes in activity patterns among British children aged 10 years. For example, lack of activity such as climbing trees or climbed the rigging to have fun. In particular, activities such as this can increase the strength of the children and make them able to lift and hold their own weight. The fact that 10 percent of children failing the test staircase wall and another 10 percent refused to do so shocking, "says Dr Sandercock. The study also found that two groups of children have the same body mass. This means that children aged 10 years today seem to have more fat and muscle mass is lower than the previous generation.
